Report on The Biz Tech Expo
How Are You? I am in Baton Rouge and we Just finished presenting the You Are a CEO program here.
It went so well! The first day we were so packed out that they asked us to come back a second day and present again.
The Biz Tech Expo is huge. All the big companies were there and we made great contacts for both the You Are a CEO program and StellarVision.
Hope you are all well.

Business Culture
Being an example and demonstrating the proper behavior as a leader is critical to the success of your business, the development of others as well as to your customers. Without it, your team or company will not reach it's full potential. Overall this was the icing on the cake as someone stated. This DVD and all of the others have provided all of the tools needed to be a successful CEO of our lives.
Saturday, October 13, 2007
I’ve been out of commission for awhile…
Topics discussed in this conference are culture change, understanding what your customer value, etc… As we all know, these topics are not foreign to us. As a matter fact, we know more because we learned to understand ourselves first, keeping our innermost thoughts positive, developing positive relationships are some keys to our road to SUCCESS.
What I have learned from Mr. Parker built confidence in myself and I believe that if I implement the things I learned. I will become a successful CEO of my own life.
Thank you… This program is very valuable and worthwhile. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Positive Thinking Part Two
I affirm to daily achieve positive results by thinking positively. To focus on challenges to overcome them and not complain. To immediately look for solutions to problems instead of focusing on the problem itself.
I can more readily discern when I am entertaining emotions/actions that will cause negative results and I choose at that very moment to change to positive. Procrastination is shorter lived now because I refuse to go back to business as usual.
I am internalizing what I have learned more and more; therefore I implement positive behavior more easily. I appreciate the website and the ability to review the videos.
I have been looking at Stellarvision and find it quite stimulating - who knows what Stellar Enterprise will come up with next... I know whatever it is - it will be good for all.

I'm free
Back on track
I had some computer troubles, however, I did not give up and kept a positive attitude I enjoy blogging with you all. I am back in school this semester I temporally went into my old habit of being overwhelmed. Then I remembered my training started to think positive and finished my homework. I am in the process of implementing a schedule and limiting my activities until after I have finished my homework. It feels good to be back on track.

I Lost Some Baggage
I noticed yesterday that I had lost some baggage. Not my luggage but my emotional baggage. I don't know exactly when and how it happened but I know it was the You Are a CEO program.
I feel different. I am happier and more open. I feel more secure with who I am and I know it's because "I GOT SKILLS". HA HA HA
I have learned the Executive Lifeskills from this program.
I am really happy and really thankful.
I am a CEO!

Understanding Value
Satisfying a customer is what matters to a customer. Mr. Parker’s statement regarding there is “something that you have tapped into if someone is buying your product”. Being able to find what is driving a customer, what makes them purchase what they purchase and then providing them the service that drives them is a key element to satisfying a customer. This is something that I started doing with the desserts that I prepare. I have tried various desserts and began to determine what can be improved with a particular dessert as well as listening to others about what’s important to them or what will satisfy them when partaking in a slice of cake or pie. The feedback I received was quality in taste and having moist cakes.
If more companies took the time to find out what their customers value as Mr. Parker stated, they would be more successful.
Business Culture
WE MADE IT! We are at the last section of the Roadmap to a successful CEO4Life! It has been a wonderful program with many educational ideas. I watched the Business Culture DVD and completed the review questions from the perspective of "I am in the business of me - I am the CEO of me". I agree that customer satisfaction is a direct result of team member satisfaction - I have to be satisfied with myself. I can now discipline myself to do the right thing on a daily basis.
Value-Centered Culture captures implementation of K.I.N.D. I feel I can now Keep my customers happy with the service I provide them. Daily I will Initiate constant communication with those I render service to. I will Never leave a customer unhappy and finally, I will Deliver on promises I have made to my customers.
I do not intend to make this the end of my pursuit of an organized life. I would like to schedule regular follow-up visits to "You Are A CEO4Life" - this will ensure a culture of improvement in our lives. I'm still striving - I don't want to let down for a moment on improvement. Thanks again to all of you and especially to Mr. Michael Parker for providing this instrument by which we can grow.
Business Fundamentals
I enjoyed each segment of the DVD. Everything Mr. Parker discussed makes sense and it is things one would think everyone is aware of but we’re not. With all of these DVDs and the wonderful material provided, there is no reason that everyone shouldn’t be successful.
The segment on Cost Reduction and Unnecessary Movement was huge for me. At my place of employment, we order so many note pads, pens, batteries, etc because staff never wants to be without a notepads and other items. I’m trying to get my director to understand that we won’t be without the necessary tools if our supplies are management correctly. We also got rid of our copier and we’re using another department’s copier that is on the other end of the floor. When the copier is being serviced, we’re going to other floor or waiting for servicing of the copier to be completed. WHAT A WASTE. Since I take care of the budget for the department, I’m trying to work on making changes for the better in some of these areas.
I have been equipped with a lot of wonderful tools to better my professional and personal life. It’s now a matter of implementing what I’ve learned and staying consistent with it.

business culture
To learn about business culture in new and exciting way. I have been implementing what I have learned at my place of employment. I enjoyed the part about effective communication. Especially when I seem to have trouble communicating with a coworker.
I have started going out to lunch to have one on one communication and it is working.
MarquitaGceo4life
Customer Values Are the Only Values
What a customer values is what we must live by. As Marquita said, a customers values are not necissarily your own.
Such as in the Southwest example. Southwest gives low fares and frequent flights to most of the places we travel. Is that Southwests goal? No. Southwest wants to make a profit for shareholds and expand their company but to stay in business they provide what their customers value.
That is smart. That is Value-Centered Management.

Customer Value
The Customer Value review questions and DVD reminded me of schooldays - when it was time to receive report cards. Each teacher was letting you (and your parents) know what he or she thought you had learned from what was taught. Now that I am an employed adult - it is the annual "Performance Appraisals". As with the teacher, your employer knows exactly what they are expecting of you - it is up to you to develop ways to meet their expectations.
This session on Customer Value has encouraged me to develop a more organized approach to stay in touch with my supervisor to make sure I am fulfilling specific needs. It is not enough to do my 8:30-5:00 daily demands, these are preliminary requirements for keeping my job. I now want to add value by minimizing (hopefully eliminate) non-value added demands. By implementing an organized approach of staying in touch with my supervisor, I can better assess progress which will reflect on my annual "Performance Appraisals".
Anyone you come in contact with and can render a service is a customer of yours. By doing my homework now, I will be better prepared to offer the best customer value assistance needed at that time.
I am still striving... Thank you for your continued encouragement.
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
I like the scenario about the restaurant, I used to work as a manager of a restaurant and if the food was not delivered on time it did make a backup of customer non-value added demand.
Pamhceo4life
Customer Value
After going over the workbook I realize that knowing what your customer values is very important. It does not always coincide with your values. Having customer feed back is very important to your business also as Mr. Parker stated, "having a bridge between those who expect value and those commissioned to deliver it", is essential. If you do not know what your customer values you could lose them in the long run or never attract them. Receiving this type of information is critical to your business.

Business Fundamentals
Hi Fellow CEO's How is your business running? I am still striving... I do not technically own a business - but I technically own my actions. Watching this DVD and pondering over the review questions in the Workbook makes me know that I need to modify my thought directions. My life is what I think to make it. I want to add value to those I interact with in my family as well as my professional life. The more I practice this systematic approach to life, the better I will understand it and see an improvement in my life. This endeavour has added such valuable information to my life. I promise myself - one day at a time - to discipline myself to do what I now know to do. The chain of circumstances that influences my life - I must be aware of and what I am doing wrong I must correct it. It is up to me - but it has been so wonderful to have you all on my side as support and encouragement. We are going to make it! We are going to make it all the way!!! |
Organizing Your Time
This DVD has given me the tools and approach to manage my time more effectively whether its business or personal. The tools provided will enable me to fulfill my commitments and make time for me. This DVD is also going to help me on my job. I always have unscheduled things that occur or issues that pop up that require my immediate attention to resolve. I have to accept that there will be things occurring unexpectedly (variable) that I can’t always control (i.e. systems going down) as much as I can with my fixed activity time.
I like what Mr. Parker said about giving each day a theme. By setting time a side for the things we need to do and sticking to it, will give us a sense of accomplishment. Taking it day by day and a little at a time will eventually lead to finishing a task verses feeling overwhelmed because you don’t think you have enough time to complete something.
Thinking organized, having a systematic approach, proper planning and balancing your time and understanding the demands associated with our lives will go a long way with Organizing Your Time. I will be the manager of my time and not the other way around…

Organize Your Money
I purchased the In/Out Cash Management System a while ago. Sadly to say, I haven’t installed it, but watching this DVD has inspired me to install it. So Elealeh… I’m installing the system this weekend and you’ll probably get a call from me on Monday. From what I’ve seen about the In/Out Cash Management System, I really like the idea of being able to see all of your accounts on one spreadsheet as well as the ability to plan for the future. Although I have several accounts, until now, I didn’t have the ability to see all of my accounts on one spreadsheet.

I never knew any of these business fundamentals. I never knew pens could the company money. I always thought they were just kidding. I will start looking at things in a different light.

Organizing My Time!
Hi Fellow CEO's! Yes I have tried organizing my active day before, and I know from experience that activities that are planned are more likely to get done than those that are not - but with human nature it is easier to "go with the flow". So, with the guidelines of "Organize Your Time DVD and Workbook" I have again created a more realistic weekly / monthly schedule for myself that I will implement - starting...NOW! |

Organize Your Time - Introduction
By now you have learned how to organize your mind & space and you have learned how to organize your money. What about your time? Do you ever wonder where your time is going? Do you sometimes feel like you are too busy to get anything done? What Influences how you spend your time?
The Organize Your Time DVD gives you the insight on how to understand time and learn an approach to managing your time so that you can effectively accomplish your goals and fulfill your commitments.
Think about what elements are in your life. What do you VALUE? Do you have a family, kids, a stressful job, do you commute? These are all INFLUENCES in how we manage our time. It is important to zero in on what distracts you from managing your time so that you can begin to take control.
- "I'm too busy to plan" - This is simply not true, after all we all find time to do what we really, really, really want to do. What we're really saying is "Planning takes too long and I have more important things to do."
- "I can never stick to my plan because things always come up" - Let's turn this around then, did you know you can plan for the unexpected? Build in time for "unexpected work" or "free time."
- "I have too many interruptions during the day!" - If you find yourself being interrupted a lot, you probably haven't built in enough time to communicate with others. Try building in time upfront to spend with family, kids, co-workers, team members, etc. to reduce the number of interruptions throughout your day.
so my fellow CEO's, how's your roadmap coming along?
Has Everyone Installed In & Out??
By now you should be getting ready to finish up the Organize Your time dvd, but before I go there has everyone installed the In & Out software successfully? If not, please call me at the office (510) 741-2037. You can also email me at esmith@stellarenterprise.com with any questions regarding the software and I'll be happy to assist you.
Remember, keep going on your SAFET projects until your whole house is complete. CONSISTENCY, DEDICATION, AND A LITTLE HARD WORK WILL GO A LONG WAY!

Organize Your Money
Before I watched the "Organize Your Money" DVD, I analyzed the answers I gave to the "What Do You Think" questions ; completed the review questions; and I opened additional bank accounts to now have four (4) as instructed. However, I have not been able to install the "In & Out" software. I was not aware of a training session and I need help!
I have Excel 2007 already installed but the "In & Out" installation is not happening for me - what should I do?

ORGANIZE YOUR MONEY
I want to take this time to thank Mr.Parker and his wonderful team for all their hard work and support. Thank you Mr. Fulton for encouraging me to continue to paint.
I really enjoyed the DVD on Organizing your Money and the In & Out Cash Flow Club session. These tools helped me to start again on my Master Spread Sheet. All this time In & Out Cash Flow has been on my computer, and all it took was going over your DVD and also following the instructions of Mrs. Smith to open the file. I have update my accounts, even though, I am still working on which credit cards to put on Pay With Purpose. However, I will complete my task on Friday. I like your definition of a systematic approach, and that discipline is the key.
Thank you,
PamHceo4life
Organize your MONEY
When I first got the In & Out Software I set up 4 bank accounts, registered my software, made my a Master spread sheet and never looked at it again. I need to follow through more often. I have now set up a basket for mail and bills and this Friday I will pay bills and check my mail.
In know if I procrastinate the mail will pile up and I will become very frustrated and overwhelmed.
I am so glad I went to the In & Out Cash Management Club this Monday. I am back on track due to Mr. Parker and his team of professionals. I thank you all for taking the time to help us.

Making Adversity a University
As the CEO's of our lives we have many relationships: work, customers and family members. Learning to work with each other can at times bring adversity but we must remember to make it a University and explore how to better work with each and every person when ever possible.
Organizing our lives reduces friction and adversity because there is a standard set of how things should be done and it speaks rather than our words. Discipline and the lifeskills we are taught are necessary attributes that will also reduce adversity.
I am really glad I read his quote today and I feel that I can make adversity a university in my life.
Can you see how the tools you are learning will reducing adversity in your lives?
Can you see how with tools you can make adversity a university of learning and experience?

Organize your Finances
I am still working of SAFET projects around the home and at work. It is amazing what a little effort each day will do toward accomplishing a goal you have. I am 33 years old and have tried for years to get organized and never realized how simple it really is given the right tools and keeping a positive mindset. I just realized this past week that there is nothing you can't accomplish if you have the desire and set your mind to it. It just a frame of mind.

Getting started, Finally
Personal Awareness has really illuminated the dark aspects of my being. It has helped me to understand ,Why I am the way I am, What I value in life, the biases I have, and the list goes on.
What can I do to strengthen my weaknesses? What are my strengths that can work for me in developing new relationships, maintaining current relationships with my family, friends, co-workers, employers, employees. The CD & the post test have been helpful. Last, but not least
Mr Parker and Mr Fulton have done outstanding in their dialogues. Thank you all for forbearing with me. Until the next blogging, good nite to everyone. Maggie T.

Do You Feel Like There Are Bricks In Your Purse?
I was reading Katrina's post and I know our purses are a touchy subject but truthfully I have started embracing the concept of an organized purse and I now really have to keep it neat or it bugs me.
I like my wallet organized, and all the compartments free from excess. Keep only what you will use for that day. There is a great Asian Trading Store Called Panda Trading company that sells all types of little silk organizers so that you can have your makeup, pens, credit cards all organized.
They are on Alfred Nobel next to our office. They look like a warehouse but they are open for retail too. There stuff is very inexpensive: 3-10 dollars.
Anyway, don't be afraid to leave some stuff at home. The purse is temporary storage of what you need.
I do pack a book bag, lunch bag, gym bag and tote for other things I may use and keep them in the trunk... not in my purse.
Men- your briefcase counts... ha ha ha

Organize Your Mind & Space
My purse… well, let’s just say that I’ve found the reason why my shoulder hurt sometime. I’m going to take the drawers and cabinets, one room at a time and make sure I don’t mind anyone coming over and opening them. After doing this…the key will be to keep it that way.
It seems that having DISCIPLINE also plays a role in organizing my mind and space. If I have the 3C’s (commitment, consistent and control), I should be able to organize my mind and space. Deep…
Discipline
The segment on “Team Work” is so true. When we work as a team and in the area that we are strong in, will ultimately benefit the team. Once we learn that it’s not a “one man show” but a “team”, the team will prospers and the company as well.
I thought the way Mr. Parker defined Discipline was great…”A learned attribute that produces positive character, which displays commitment, consistency and control”. Being discipline in every aspect of your life, will produce positive results. I think I’ll bank this DVD as well.
Positive Relationships
My job requires me to interact with a lot of vendors and staff members. It’s very important to cultivate a positive relationship with people that you work with or interact with. If you build positive relationships with them and don’t burn any bridges, you can go further in life.
The segment on “ending a relationship” was great. I’m banking this segment… For me, it is not comfortable to end a business relationship with a vendor, but as the CEO of my life whether it’s personal or business, I’m hurting myself if I can’t end a relationship with honor and follow my heart as Mr. Parker stated.
Great DVD!!!

Oraganize my Mind and Space
Unorganized behavior has made me answer this blog so late in the day.
I am committed to change one city at a time.
I will be blogging a lot sooner.
MarquitaGceo4life
Committed to Change
If my purse or my office files reflects who I am, then I must immediately commit to change, and specifically change my unorganized thinking and behavior. The SAFE-T projects will be of great assistance (the purse is organized, next the resume file draw and reference documents) in this area to create a “new me”, a new mind-set and behavior – it’s exciting – we can do this.
Get Ready to Organize Your Money!
You will find another system (our theme word) to help organize your life--the In & Out Cash Management System.
I'll blog more this week, but get ready to dig even deeper...
Be sure and read the "What Do You Think" questions before you watch the DVD and answer them honestly.
FYI, before you complete the case study questions - question #13 should not include the "Gas $200" so please scratch that out. I'll review the answers in another post.
Organize Your Space - Introduction
If a guest walked through your home and opened every closet, cabinet, and drawer what would they see?
EVERY ENVIRONMENT YOU ARE IN REFLECTS YOU! Your home, your car, your office, your purse/briefcase, your closet, your garage, your drawers, your cabinets, your trunk, your desk, and yes...even your refrigerator.
Okay now that I've got your attention let's talk about organizing your space. SAFET is a unique system (our theme word) created by Mr. Michael Parker you can use to organize any space. This system is so simple anyone can do it! Here's some tips to help you organize all your spaces:
Tip #1 - Establish a daily routine of organizing something for 15 minutes each day. Challenge yourself to do 15 minutes a day for 7 days straight. Set your microwave timer!
Tip #2 - Write a checklist of all the areas you want to organize (make sure each goal is small enough to finish within 1-2 sessions). As you complete each goal you'll feel great and see your progress!
Tip #3 - WHEN IN DOUBT, THROW IT OUT! This doesn't mean you have to literally throw everything away, but don't hesitate to donate items that you are not using. Don't have time to take your items or have too much to haul? Here's a few vendors that can help:
- United Cancer Research Society at (800) 443-4224 FREE home pickup service
- 1-800 GOT JUNK
- Need Residential Paper Shredding? www.expressdestruction.com
Need help or have a SAFE-T question?FYI, I would love to see before and after pictures, if you're brave enough :-) Feel free to post them throughout this Organize Your Life series!
Email me anytime at esmith@stellarenterprise.com
Organize Your Mind - Introduction
I have adult ADHD so if I can have an organized mindset anyone can. I am living proof to myself that being organized is a BEHAVIOR that you can develop. I use checklists, email reminders, phone calls, post its, project timelines, whatever it takes for me to achieve my goals a little at a time. Just as a blind man that has excellent hearing, I believe my organizational skills have developed so much because unlike others that have the natural ability to focus, without checklists, email reminders, project timelines, phone calls, etc. I would be LOST.
I said all that to say this: Before you can organize your space, you MUST master the ability to organize your mind so much that you are focused, committed, and realistic. Then, the world is yours....one city at a time.
It's Time to Organize Your Life!!!
This is Elealeh Smith and I'll be coaching you through the Organize Your Life DVD series in your platinum business suite. By now you should have all completed the mind & space dvd as well as a small SAFET project in your home or office. So how did you do? I'll be reading your posts and commenting thoughout the next few weeks.
I'm going to step back a little bit and give an introduction to Organize Your Life. The next 3 sessions our theme word is 'SYSTEM'. To have an organized life you must have systems and tools that assist you with achieving your goals. The lifeskills audio book is designed to prepare your mind and heart for this next module. It takes PERSONAL AWARENESS to look into your background and see how your upbringing or past environments may have contributed to your disorganization. It takes POSITIVE THINKING and DISCIPLINE to get through a SAFET project - you have to commit while being consistent and focused. It also takes POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS to maintain an organized space if you do not live alone.
Once you have these crucial ingredients it's time to dig deep and address the key areas that make us unorganized. The Mind & Space DVD that you watched last week deals with how you think which impacts how your spaces look. It's going to feel a bit uncomfortable to address these issues (especially when it comes to hiding clutter) but for those of you who commit to change, you'll never be the same.

Signing on with ceo4life
You know these are some important tools as well as life tips that can used throughout your everyday life. I am really enjoying this environment. Thanks

I have completed my first SAFE-t project. The funny thing is what I always had been putting off for several years because I thought would "take too long" and "this is too much to handle" (negative, disorganized thinking (red flag that thought)) only took 1 hour. And the best thing is, I feel great about it! The SAFE-t method is very simple and straight forward and really cuts to the chase in getting an area organized. I am getting my next projects lined up and plan to have my living and work areas SAFE-t over the next several months. It really only takes a little effort in high frequency to get the job done. Getting organized is very simple and easy when you don't look at the huge project, but keep it to little bits day by day. It's a mind frame!

I Am Moving Forward
This is the most exciting journey I have ever taken. I am learning and actually changing. I am learning to organize my time based on what "I" value. For years I made decisions that were based on other peoples values and also on habits I had formed.
This weekend I stayed home and rested but also cleaned and worked on Organizing the Spaces in my Bedroom. I guess Geneva and I were on the same page because I heard in my head 80% of what we have we never use and I moved stuff out of the space that I really did not use and you know I did not miss it at all. The room feels so much better with out the clutter.
Well it's just about 10:30 and that's my "scheduled" bed time so enjoy all you CEO's and stay on the path... and you will move forward.

Organize Your Mind & Space
As I proceed, I will remind myself that 80% of what I keep I never use. I will not allow myself to make excuses for not keeping my promise to organize, instead - I will plan workable goals which will cause me to successfully organize my life. I AM COMMITTED TO CHANGE!!!!!!!
Again, thanks for working with me to realize the CEO4Life goal together - I am still striving!

CHARACTER!
Now that we have all listened to the complete Executive Audio Book on Life Skills, we all have the mind of a CEO. Now what? As we move into the next portion of the Platinum Business Suite (Organize Your Life) we will all begin to see exactly where we are living. However, do not retreat! Rather, remember all of the essential life skills we have learned up to this point. We must be personally aware of ourselves, and our environment. We must never forget to think positive and to understand that we have the power to choose. We must surround ourselves with positive relationships and experience the fruit of those relationships. And we all must demonstrate the commitment, consistency, and control to become the CEO of our own lives, as well as our businesses.
Remember the acronym we use for the character one displays while practicing disciplined behavior: S.P.I.R.I.T. Self-Discipline, Perseverance, Initiative, Respect, Integrity, and Team Work. With these character attributes, anything is possible!
I look forward to everyone getting organized with their mind, space, money, and time so we can all experience our maximum success on our way to living a high quality of life.
Disciple
There are areas in my life that I am very disciplined (perhaps even excessive) the unfortunate reality is that there are too man y areas in my life that my behavior is not disciplined. I like what the CD addresses, and I think William mentioned also, "this is a behavior that can be changed, I might not be able to change how tall or short I am, but behavior (once you become personally aware of it) now that can be changed, along with negative thoughts and patterns of behavior.
Knowledge is powerful. I am becoming the CEO of my life, yeah!
Back of Track ...Positive Relationships
Reading your post on the various CD series subjects has all been a delight. Seeing how others have received and utilized all the valuable information, tools and created action plans has been a help to me, thanks.
I over-booked my commitments last week and was not able to post my blog on the positive relationship topic (this is an area I am becoming “personally aware” of - what a revelation). As with all the CD's, there is so much value, and it helps keep things real and on a personal note, which is good for me because I have to focus on me, my behaviors, my actions, my results (or lack thereof).
I can truthfully say that most of my relationships TODAY, are very positive, this has not always been the case. However, I am seeing further areas of improvement even with these relationships, which is also a positive means for me to work on me. Make sure I am contributing, positive energy to each situation.
Also, over the years my personality type has changed, in some cases the change was the result of the work environment I was a part of, more of a survival tactic. But I can see based on a number of personality assessments that either through the process of growing older, adapting to the environment, education/training, personal awareness, etc., all these inputs have help shape my personality type. Understanding how one fits and works with other is so very valuable and necessary to generate positive results and outcomes, it is also helpful in understanding others, how they think and why, but more importantly that they also bring value to the group.
As others have mentioned, our CEO forum is definitely a positive relationship, I see much fruit in only a few weeks.

Discipline
Thank you
PamHceo4life
Discipline
I enjoyed the definition of receiving discipline. Everything points back to you and your behavior. I always thought of discipline as punishment. However, when you put receiving discipline into a different perspective as an "act of receiving consequences from and outside force for going against a just or unjust standard, law, and or/rule. " It opens up a whole new aspect in life.
I am very thankful to have listened to CD and completed the workbook on DISCIPLINE.

Dicipline . . . . Behavior?
I think it is also fitting to mention that a relationship with people who exorcise good disciplined behavior will help me learn this behavior as well. After some Personal Awareness reflection I have learned that part of the negative thought patters and undisciplined behavior that is evident in my work and personal life is partly a result of certain relationships I had growing up. I learned these behaviors from those relationships. I think it is important and can see the great benefit in finding good positive relationships with people who demonstrate the types of positive and disciplined behaviors that I am lacking. I have also been looking at positive thinking and it seems like each day that goes by I am becoming more and more aware of my negative and positive thought patters which is really the beginning of being able to change those things. This is really about being the CEO of MY THOUGHTS! If I can learn to controll what goes through my mind, it will give me the ability to control how I act and react.

The Power of Positive Relationships
I now understand more than ever that it is very crucial to cultivate, maintain and nurture relationships with the people we do business with or the people we met -- not to burn bridges. By "burning bridges" I mean, destroy relationships with your customers, clients, employees, vendors, etc. The key to good relationships is to accentuate the positives.
Knowing and understanding my behavioral types and personality styles as well as others, will help me create rapport and connection with people. I can improve my communication skills and reduce conflict. Imagine being able to understand better what motivates people and being able to recognize how to effectively deal with others.

Self Discipline
The more I become self aware and learn what causes my negative behavior, the more I am determined to make decisions that will impact my life positively. This drives me to discipline myself in my SPIRIT. I truly appreciate this Teamwork with everyone working with open minds to both learn and teach, listen and speak, lead and follow. I believe we will reach our goal together! I'm still striving...

The Necessary Life Skills of a CEO
Personal Awareness: discovering you. Who you are, Why you think the way you do, What are your values? Are you living your life or are you just behaving like you were taught as a child?
This was a real exploration for me. My values were centered around 22 but I was still practicing behavior learned as a child. Many of these no longer serve me or my new beliefs. My mind and my body were not aligned.
If I have a particular value: Being a Good Worker, Being Healthy, Being Spiritual, Being a Good Friend or Family Member then I must do actions that practice these beliefs rather than actions that don't move me towards any of these goals.
I made a mental list of what I do each day and how much time I spend doing each thing. Then consider the values I have, I asked myself am I contributing to my goals and values?
So how do you spend your time?
I say make it count. Spend time doing what you value, what you enjoy and what you should be doing to achieve your personal goals. Don't let things derail you, remain focused and you will succeed.
Discipline
Also, the definition of integrity was very key; "Striving toward every goal always being conscientious of what is right or wrong while maintaining your dignity and self respect". Integrity comes from within and cannot be faked, otherwise your customers/clients can tell the difference.
Discipline is the act of controlling the human will and overcoming any obtacles seeking to derail you from reaching your goals. Personally, when I discipline myself to write down my goals they are given a certain strength and help me to stay focused. Again, this forum is very interesting & enlightening, the comments from the other bloggers have been uplifting.

positive relationship
I believe I am going to try to build more positive relationships.
I really need to work on the concepts of initiating, building and maintaining relationships.

Positive Relationships
As I've mentioned before, this forum is particulary important for Sole Proprietors/Business Owners who work in small offices. You are constantly reminded of these powerful tools and enjoy this experience of a team environment with other professionals.
Positive Thinking
Also, Mr. Parker acknowleged that the way you feel dictates the way you act. If you think success you will be successful inspite of your challenges in pursuit of your short and long term goals. "Stay the Course".
Personal Awarness
Personal Awarness has been one of the most enlightening of all modules. As an enterprenuer, I appreciated how Mr. Parker and Mr. Fulton emphasized the importance of developing and maintaining the mental strength to overcome obtstacles in order to become victorious. Although most of us have been exposed to much of this information previous, but we all need to be "stirred up".
Also, having this forum to express how we feel concerning business as well as personal situations is truly invaluable, given all the professionals that apart of this network who are willing to share current and previous experiences.

+Relationships
This really does come down to Being the CEO OF MY OWN LIFE. The information I have been learning so far in this Suite is so basic yet I'm hearing things for the first time in my life. This format is so fitting too. Positive Relationships can't be achieved without a Positive Mind frame which I can't successfully attain until I am Persnally Aware of myself. I am still going back to Personal Awareness and reflecting on my past and it seems like with each audio Book I listen too I also learn somthing else about myself.

Positive Relationships
My desire is to manage this relationship path to continue to build on it, maintain it and cause the challenges to only make me stronger in a positive way. Thank you for being a friend.
Success story…
As I have stated before, my goal is to use this tool to help me become a better Manager and be the best CEO of my life.
I was so excited after listening to each CD, especially the Positive Thinking. Learning the 7 types of intelligence gave me a better understanding to utilize each talent and skill set each of my team member possesses.
I met with my team and introduced the concept of grouping them and matching their skills with the workflow process. I pretty much know each of my team member’s skills; however, I brought them along with this change. I asked them to identify their skills that can be best utilized in each process. When all said and done, I was right evaluating their skills set.
The change happened last week, guess what… the team environment has changed drastically, all became highly productive, no more whiners, and complainers. For the first time, we finally met our goal to have all grievances and appeals cases that are received in our area entered into the database and assigned to a Consultant in an hour. Our lead-time, changed from 3 hours to an hour.
To answer the question: How is my business running? I must say… it is running in an excellent pace… can’t wait to finish the 4 CD’s…

Positive Thinking
This topic was very interesting to me. Listening to Mr. Parker and Mr. Fulton discuss the theory of positive thinking and how it starts with the brain was very enlightening. I was able to see myself in a lot of the discussion on the brain. I’m ambidextrous. I actually write with my left hand and eat with my left hand. I’m also an analytical person and very good with money/budget, which is using the left side of the brain. However, I can also write with my right hand but I lean more to the left. Everything else that I do, I use the right side, whether I’m playing sports, cooking, using a calculator, etc. I have the musical creativity of playing instruments and writing songs. In some areas, I’m stronger with the left side or left hand and for other areas; I’m stronger with the right side or right hand. When playing sports or recreational activities, I use the right hand when others might think I would use the left hand because I’m left handed, but that feels awkward to use the left hand. This sometimes works to my advantage. If you recall in my blog on Personal Awareness, I mentioned that I don’t like to lose. I’m very competitive. When participating in sports, I’ll let the other team think it’s going to be awkward and difficult for me to use the right side… but then they get served with a surprise.
Is this at some level maximizing both sides to work together in unity as was mentioned in the CD?
This CD has me really examining myself and recognizing my negative challenges or behavior. It is some times difficult to admit anything negative about yourself (even if it’s just admitting it to yourself). It’s okay… because after listening to this CD, it will be turned around to have a positive impact on my life.
Moving forward, I’m going to always try to think positive in my personal life and at work. Negativity will not dwell here… As others see this in my life and workplace, I hope this will create and cultivate a positive environment and operation.

Positive thinking is a mental attitude …
As we have previously learned, our thought patterns are habits, built from our past, the feedback of parents, friends, society and self, that form our self-image and our world-image. These are maintained by the inner conversations we constantly have with ourselves, both consciously and subconsciously. I have to change my inner conversations into positive thoughts to produce positive results.
Therefore, I made a commitment to control and keep my mind focused on positive thoughts, be optimistic, be honest and personally aware of who I am and others. See learning and change as opportunities, weakness as "improvable". To change and improve each day to bear the fruits of Positive Thinking.
I am no longer trapped in this prison cell.
Thank you for giving me a “Get out of Jail free” card…

Positive Thinking a New Way of Life
I want to explore more the seven intelligences because in school I was pushed more toward reading, writing and arithmetic. I wonder if I given more time to explore other avenues what type of other intelligences I might have developed. I would also like to see if I am right or left brain dominant.
I never imagined marketing would match up with a musician.
I am looking positively forward to our next session.

Personal Awareness
I thoroughly enjoyed the CD on Personal Awareness. I learned a lot from listening to this CD. This CD made to start thinking about what motivates me and where I am with emotional intelligence and maturity. Listening to this CD had me thinking about what drives and motivates me. One thing that came to mind was the fact that I don’t like to lose or having someone say I can’t do something or I’m not ready for something. Whether it’s recreational or at work, those few words take me to another level to succeed.
Knowing what drives you is key to your success. Personal Awareness is key for us as an individual but it’s also key to understanding others and what drives them or how you can get the best from them. Once you understand this, you can use it in a way to get the best from others.
The discussion on delayed gratification in your personal life and business is VERY TRUE and very difficult for people to live and operate by. We tend to want everything now and not realizing that by waiting, you end up with more or in a better situation. Even in my personal life, I’m waiting to have two marshmallows for more gratification.

Positive Thinking
I have enjoyed every one's comments on positive thinking. I especially enjoyed TerryF's video and his blog. I enjoyed JulieP's insight on positive thinking.
I learned so much from Mr. Parker's CD on positive thinking I realize I was only using positive thinking skills in spurts. I actually thought I was doing good. After listening to the CD positive thinking has to be a way of life.
First I thought once a week was too much for me to do a blog. But as the week went on I missed blogging and reading the Blogs
Today I was able to work on my paintings at school. This was a great triumph for me because I was able to paint freely without worrying about failing or being pressured. I do have a deadline at the end of this summer quarter. I am positive that I will be able to complete it. When I was painting I felt as though I had a whole team behind me.

THIS IS TOTALLY GREAT!!
Now I must congratulate Mrs. Deborah Cavole, William Fisher and Mrs. Geneva MayWeather..they're on it. Good job, staying on track with the homework assignments.
Please keep your fellow club members in mind and encourage them to jump right in, we're in this together and as Mr. Parker mentioned at the Club Meeting, we'll all get more out of this if we all participate.
I'm looking forward to the coming weeks.

I know I have a lot yet to learn about positive thinking through life's experiences, but I am determined to learn to maintain a thought process that strives for excellence in all situations by demonstrating the ability to overcome negative thoughts. Still striving...

Positive Thinking
It is week two and I have just finished listening to the Positive Thinking CD. I am beginning to schedule my time (which positively impacts my time management behavior) to make sure I complete my assignments. I need the structure; it helps me not fall into the trap of procrastination.
Also, as I begin to explore “Who I am”, those things that influence my behavior, understanding those dominate thoughts, etc.; you can then begin to focus or pinpoint negative behaviors/patterns of thought/fears and re-direct or change your mindset. For to long, I have ignored this area, allowing procrastination or avoidance to trap my thinking. Addressing these areas head-on but “thinking with a positive” attitude takes the sting out of the effort and gives me the power for success.
In response to Mr. Fulton’s question, I am taking positive steps to remove those traps that have hindered me, and I am beginning to see some seedlings grow and by the time I complete the series I will have a bunch of fruit, producing positive results – yeah!
On another note, in the review document, question 19, the key indicated A, the last part of the answer, “She treats her parents with disrespect”, didn’t really seem to fit, so I went with C. Am I using to much of my left brain?
Memo of Appreciation
I wanted to express my sincere appreciation to Mr. Parker, Mr. Fulton and the entire team at Stellar Enterprise for this amazing You Are a CEO Platinum Business Suite and the You Are a CEO Executive Club. I just love it.
I have listened to the Personal Awareness and Positive Thinking Lifeskills segments several times now and I always getting a "lights on - bells ringing" experience. This program really has worked wonders for my life and I am so grateful for the team and of course all the members of the CEO Executive Club who have shared their experiences with me thus far. We have only just begun and yet it feels like family and I guess we are.
In my mind I can imagine a world where people have life skills and a business culture that has the attributes of the Platinum Business Suite. You see I work in such an environment and I am creating that environment in my home so that this is my world. It feels good, sounds good and looks good. Maybe I am dreaming but I want to share this with others. I truly think, no, I know that a world that has happy people, working at great companies will make this life so much better.
There is so much negativity: war, crime, budget deficits, poverty, hunger, politics and just the news of the world is so sad it is nice and very refreshing to see a group of people who know that changing the world may not be possible but changing your world IS and it starts with changing you.
Positive People affect others. It is so nice to be in a room with a bright cheery person who makes you smile and laugh. You know the kind of people who always have a joke or a funny story to tell. People who are honest and caring, maybe not perfect but working on the flaws so that we can all be the very best we can personally be.
Some how life has taught us that we need to carry around our pasts and play these emotional head games by hiding who we are, how we feel and what exactly we need from others. This program has lifted the lid and I see how silly that sounds and is. We don't need to pretend and put on a face... just be who you are and refuse to let your past predict your future - create your own destiny and work on you for your good. I am!
We are all right here and can see each other. We feel the truth. You think your hiding how you feel and who you are but we see you and you see us. I really have enjoyed finding out about you all and It feels great to share who I am with you too. BOO... no more hiding.
Hugs

Daring to Exploring Who I am and Understanding My Mental Sky
I must stop ignoring the painful and disappointing aspects of the past. I am daring to explore those things that have thus shaped my mind, I liked the phase used in the tape that references understanding "your mental sky". This is deep, but a necessary key for me to become personally aware of who I am, why I think and behave as I do, and more importantly, steps I can begin to take to become emotionally intelligent.

Personal Awareness is a WAY of LIFE...
I have learned so much in this session. Understanding your thought patterns and exploring where it comes from, shapes the way you act or react to others and influence your decisions. I could attain emotional intelligence wherein I could control my emotions and behavior as well as others towards a situation.
Developing emotional intelligence in the workplace and acknowledging that emotions are always present, and doing something intelligent with them can make a big difference in the workplace as well as your in own life. As my fellow CEO (William F.) stated this is really an EYE OPENER…
I look forward hearing and learning from my fellow CEO Executive Club…
