Are YOU Trapped or Bearing Fruit?

Did you know that negative thinking can trap you in a low quality of life prison cell? The six traps of negative thinking are Ignorance, Fear, Anger, Jealousy, Laziness, and Procrastination. These are all frames of mind that can and will trap you into making negative judgments and decisions about people and/or things that can hinder your personal achievement. We cannot allow ourselves to get trapped in this type of thinking if we are to become the CEO of our business and our lives. We must all overcome these frames of mind and learn to Think Positive about ourselves as well as others. If we become more Personally Aware of ourselves and others by understanding our thought and emotional patterns; if we build our self-esteem so that we learn to appreciate ourselves as well as others; if we learn to respect ourselves as well as others; then we give ourselves the power to bust out of these jail houses of negativity and to have the freedom to Think Positive and to experience success and a great quality of life! Success and a great quality of life are produced by the seven fruits of positive thinking, which are Achievement, Balance, Confidence, Diligence, Excellence, Growth, and Other-Centered. So my question to you all is...are you trapped, or are you bearing fruit?

Hi Terry,

I really loved this post. I thought about it for myself as sometimes I can procrastinate and other times I am ignorant of things.

Then I pondered your post and thought of another relationship in my life.

I thought about the first sign of negative thinking you listed: Ingnorance.

I thought about that word and one side of me was thinking "it is very bad almost dirty to be ignorant" but then my other side was saying but "you can't really blame a person for what they don't know" but we do.

The more I thought the more I felt like "we/they should know the basics in life and it is our/their fault that they are ignorant".

Their are some things we should not be ignorant of they are too basic.

The life skills of how to think positive should be a skill given to you while growing up from your parents and in society.

Parents normally say things like "Keep a smile on your face", "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything" and "You get more with honey than you do with lemmon" and so on.

Anyway, so what do we do when we don't know and we are ignorant? We get the help, learn the tools and then we are no longer ignorant.

This thinking for me has been reinforced by attending the You Are a CEO classes. I am more aware of my thinking and also of the thinking of others.

This was an excellent post and I was able to use this right away in dealing with a real time situation and a person who was thinking negativly and impacting me.

Thanks again for a great post.

Hi Terry:

This is the first instructional institution I look forward to doing HOMEWORK!!! When I did on-line classes I usually had to take them twice, because it was a big blur to me. I feared putting my thoughts on paper. I feel like JulieP about being a procrastinator. If had a five page essay due on Monday I would start Sunday evening: read the assignment and finish the report on Monday and wonder why I got a C on the paper, but the bad part about it was sometimes I got an A.

These are the only assignments that I have listened to and read the material.

I would like for this to penetrate deeper so that I can become the CEO of my life.

This is one class I truly what to learn about.

Look forward to blogging again.
